Your eyes are supposed to say a lot about you, so why not make them the biggest and most beautiful you can, right?

I love mascara, I live for it. Give me ten coats of the stuff. All dashed on my lashes to give me the flutteriest set of peepers you ever did see. You get the picture? I have quite the collection, that's grown since this post. But today I am casually chatting to you about two mascaras that I always seem to go back to and pick up, despite the amount that I have in my drawer. Sometimes mascaras just don't tickle my pickle, they either don't give me that lift that I need, or make my lashes far too spidery for my liking, so when I find a mascara that ticks all the boxes - I hold on to those tightly.

First up is the more expensive of the two but definitely one of my prettiest (and heaviest, right?!) mascaras that I own. Is it because it's pink? Obviously. It's the Too Faced Better Than Sex (£19) mascara, which I have reviewed previously in full here. Now I have to admit, when I first used this mascara I was hugely disappointed, especially as it was so hyped by so many other beauty lovers. But, like with a lot of products, once the formula had dried up a bit, this became an absolute volumising dream. Yes, the brush can be a messy one as it's so chunky, but the product and wand combination adds curl, lift and volume - a real boost! It's perfect for a bare eye look to add some pizzazz, or a full on dramatic smoky eye to add to the drama.

The other little tube of goodness comes in the form of the Maybelline Lash Sensational (£7.99), which I remember a lot of bloggers falling head over heels for earlier this year (or maybe even last year?!). I can put my hands up and say that this is one of the best mascaras I have tried from the high street. I think I am onto my third repurchase of this now, as it seems to tick every single box that you want a mascara to tick. From first application it curls the lash due to the curvature of the wand, it separates so that your lashes aren't all clumped together, yet volumises them so that they look full and flirty. UGH. I LAV IT. I always seem to get that thing where when I blink, the product transfers to the tops of my eyelids because it makes my lashes that long and luscious - the dream, right?

What mascaras are top of your rankings? Do you prefer something that adds a ton of drama, or just something that separates and elongates the lashes? Let me know in the comments, or better, tweet me!
