One of my 2016 Goals this year was to take more photos and capture more memories. Starting the new year with a fresh new camera in my hand makes it all the more exciting...

When I began blogging I wasn't all that interested in photography - I had a pink point-and-shoot and did just that when taking photos. However, my love for the past-time has grown leaps and bounds since October 2012 and especially so in the past eighteen months. After upgrading from a Canon 700D to a Canon 750D, I was excited to see how the features would compare. What better chance than to take my new toy for a spin than going for an extra special afternoon tea.

We arrived at Chilli Cake Deli in Middlesbrough and made our way upstairs where a little table in a side room was all set for the afternoon delight. My bestest Carli set up the table with personalised boxes for her three guests (myself included) and we were given a flute of cocktail, I think Bellini style?! Rachel & Gemma arrived, cuddles were exchanged and we all sat down awaiting our platter (that's right!) of yummy treats. A selection of delicious sandwiches, scrummy scones and whipped cream cakes were scoffed over the few hours we spent giggling away. We popped the champagne and celebrated that the fact... Well... Carli had gathered us to ask us to be bridesmaids at her wedding! EEK! HOW EXCITING!

I'm so glad that I could bring my camera along to capture the magical day. It has exceeded my expectations and has so many features that are going to make it the perfect camera for 2016:

- The Flip Screen - Fitted with a screen that you can flip out, flip back in, and flip all the way around, it makes shooting those 'selfies' all the more easier.
- Built-in Wifi - No longer do you need to transfer from camera, to laptop, to email, smartphone. The built-in Wifi system allows you to send photos straight to your phone, tablet or laptop with the click of a button - no more cables, yay!
- That Blurry Background - The bloggers dream, am I right? There's something about that blurriness behind a product that makes everyone a bit fuzzy inside.
- Bright & Beautiful - An ISO that can go up to 25600 meaning that you can shoot in low-light and still get high quality photographs. Perfect for those early winter nights we're experiencing right now!

I'm excited to make and capture even more memories this year (including the wedding!) with my fantastic new camera. Big love to John Lewis for the incredible gift. I'll be sharing more lifestyle posts such as this, this year, sharing more of what is going on in my life. I really hope you enjoy it.
