Beauty | Introducing Freedom Makeup

Ladies and gentlemen, there is a new makeup brand on the block. Freedom Makeup is a super affordable brand, even more-so than your usual drugstore offering. But does the quality suffice?

I decided to try all these products out in one go and create a look. I began with the Mono Eyeshadow in 208 (£1), a bronze taupe with shimmer running through it. I thought that this would be quite chunky but it's actually quite the opposite. It takes some packing on to the lid but once the pigment is built up it leaves a stunning, almost metallic finish. The shadow blends easily and surprisingly did not crease at all, which is odd as eyeshadow often does on my oily eyelids! I then used the Mono Eyeshadow Base in 202 (£1) in my tear duct and brow bone to brighten up those areas and I think it did that job beautifully due to it's pearly sheen. Again, very easy to blend however this one had better pigment than the bronze shade.

As you know, eyeliner is my thaaaaang so it takes a lot to impressive me when it comes to a liquid eyeliner. This one, the Pro Line Liner (£1.50) was a little on the disappointing side. Although it has a super fine nib to create thin lines, the actual formula is not the best. It applied in streaks and seemed to take a few layers to build up - something I just ain't got time for! Speaking of time, I normally do not have time for blusher but for reviewing purposes I thought I'd whack some of the Blush in 'Rare' (£1) on. I love it. Although a little bit bright in first instance, it is an adorable rosy coral, a sort of 'flush' if you will. Finally we have the Pro Lipstick in 'Red Wine (£1) which is my favourite shade of red. The finish is slightly glossy and it can transfer onto the teeth if you are not careful but for the price, it's pretty alright.

There are my views on my first try of Freedom Makeup - I'm definitely impressed by most of the products, which are so cheap! A great new budget brand for all. Let me know if you have tried any of their products and who your favourite budget beauty brand is! Thanks for reading!
