Hair | Dirty Looks Hair Extensions

A while ago now, Dirty Looks interviewed me over on their blog, talking all things hair including my favourite products and a major ombre-gone-wrong! Afterwards, they very kindly offered to send me a set of their HK Extensions* to try out. I am no stranger to extensions, I purchased my first set for my 18th birthday and have worn them many-a-time since. I usually only wore them curly when I was going 'out-out', if you know what I mean. You can see a photo in an old post, here. Looking back, they do not look as good as I thought they did!

Arriving in a lilac box, pleasantly wrapped, I was impressed with the attention to detail. Before opening up your full set, you are presented with a sample weft to make sure that the colour matches okay. I was so impressed that the team had matched me to the shade 'Hot Toffee' just by looking at photos of me - it is a pretty good match. I never wear an entire set as I have a small head, so in the above photo I'm wearing three of the larger pieces to create a natural look. They are so lightweight and grip to your hair in a way that's comfortable - I'll definitely be wearing these more often. These are the 16-18" set which add a slight bit of length but more volume, which I love.

Are you a lover of extensions? I'm not the type to wear them on a daily basis, but for special occasions these are wonderful! Let me know in the comments below about your experience with extensions, or maybe you would like to try them for the first time!

  1. Your hair looks amazing! My hair is already super thick so I can't really wear extensions, but they look lovely on you :)
