Hypes come and go within weeks, yet there are always certain products that everyone keeps on talking about and raving about time after time. Often, if I like the sound of something, I'll buy it. But this time, I wasn't a fan.
On a trip to Selfridges in London, I decided to get shade matched to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (£22) after hearing people constantly reiterate the fact that it was revolutionary and looked flawless on the skin. Flawless being the word that made me lust after it. I was matched to the shade Custard, which was a popular shade that often went in and out of stock. Alas, a teeny tiny but too dark for my skin tone, I could just about get away with it with a good powder and blending it well enough.
Upon trying the product, well, I just don't like it. Long story short there. I find that it gives little coverage for something that is meant to conceal either blemishes or under eye circles. Not only that but it clung to any slight dry patches and made them look unappealing and all around a lil bit mingin'. (a problem I don't usually have). I think that for a hefty price tag, it just doesn't live up to expectations. I would much rather reach for my cliche Collection Lasting Perfection (£4.19) which seems to get the job done.
So I'm sorry but this member of the jury is not happy with the result of this one. Is there any beauty hypes that you have bought into and have not gotten on with? I'm sure this would be perfect for most, but not for me! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, thanks for reading!
