Skincare | Three Cleansers, Three Formulas

Cleansers come in all shapes, sizes, scents and well, formulas. Today I thought I would share with you my current favourite three cleansers that each come in a different form...

When it comes to the (almost) every day task of removing my makeup, I always seem to reach for an oil-based cleanser. I find them so efficient and quick when it comes to taking off all the slap that has been on my face for eight or so hours. This is my second bottle of The Body Shop's Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil (£11) and it is one that I find myself coming back to time and time again. After applying to dry skin, the oil emulsifies ever-so slightly when in contact with water to drain away all that bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and everything else that goes along with it. It's pain-free when it comes to the eyes and doesn't strip your skin as some oils can often do.

After stumbling to the bathroom with only one eye open and in need of a little bit of a wake up, on a morning I will reach for a cream cleanser. I feel like they get rid of all the overnight grime and oils that can build up and moisturise the face so that it's all fresh and ready for the coming day. Probably one of the most famous cleansers out there is the Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish (£14) and it really is as good as everybody suggests. It's the perfect way to start a morning, but it's also great as a refresh on a night time and I'll occasionally use this when I have had a make-up free day.

Finally, when I am after some real nourishment in my skin, after an oil-cleanse, I will go ahead with something that is more of a balm. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (£39.50) is purely one of a kind with how gentle and soothing it is, whilst also being awesome at giving your face a good ol' clean. After giving my skin a good and thorough massage with only a pea sized amount of this, I notice how super supple my face is. I tend to use this a couple of times a week as I don't want to run out of it too soon (that price, yo).

So when it comes to giving my face a wash, both morning and night, those are the three cleansers that I tend to gravitate towards. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried either of these out and what your thoughts are. I would love for you to share your favourite cleansers with me too - give me some new ones to try. Thanks for reading!
