Beauty | Four New MAC Lipsticks

When I spied that Fragrance Direct stocked MAC lipsticks at a slightly discounted price, my heart fluttered. Four shades have been added to my collection, here is what I picked up...

I thought that I would go for two somewhat neutral shades and two brights. I am quite enjoying a more darker, pinkier neutral lip and Plumful and Craving fit that bill quite perfectly. With a purple tone to it, Plumful is a great shade that will transition nicely throughout the months as it is almost like a tinted lip balm. This is due to the lustre finish making it a lot more sheer. However it still gives a good coating of pigment on the lips. The only downside to a lustre shade is that it does not last too long on the lips but I don't mind reapplying as I would not wear this shade when I am going 'out out'. I do prefer Craving as it is just that perfect, every-day-slightly-pinky lip. It is alternatively a Amplified Creme finish, bringing a lot more colour to the lips and staying around a bit longer. This also looks great with a nude gloss over the top.

On the more brighter side of life, we have Girl About Town and Lady Danger - two shades that are always recommended on Twitter chats. Girl About Town is a blue-toned, fuchsia pink and kind of reminds me of Impassioned, but on steroids. It makes my teeth look whiter and stays around all day despite being an Amplified finish, as the pigmentation in this one is simply amazing. Lady Danger is a shade that I never thought would suit me personally, but decided I would give a try. It is a matte, orange-tone red that is really bold and in your face. I usually go for your classic red shade, like Russian Red, so it's nice to try something a little bit different and more vivid.

So what do you reckon? Are there any shades there that you are after? Or maybe you already have them in your collection? Make sure you let me know your thoughts in the comments below and remember to check out Fragrance Direct for MAC lipsticks at a slightly discounted price!
