To celebrate Toni & Guy being more widely available on the highstreet, I was asked to be involved in their latest social media campaign #StyleTheStreets. Lets me tell you what happened during my experience...
When I think of myself and blogging I always think that I am just simply plodding along. I write passionately about the things that I love and I still 100% enjoy creating content and blogging as a whole. When the lovely Gemma's email landed in my inbox about going on a trip to London to be involved in a photoshoot for Toni & Guy's latest campaign, I seriously had to read the email several times over. Erm, me? Little old Megan from the North East? Really? I have had some amazing experiences through blogging before but this literally blew me away...
So the following week I hopped on the train and was picked up by car and taken to Holborn studios. As I arrived, Suzie from Hello October was getting photographed and inside I was fan-girling (cringe) but I kept cool; If only I could have spoken to her properly! I went straight upstairs to get my make-up done & as my shoot was based around the 'Glamour' theme, the artist opted for a dark-brown smokey eye and a nude lip - stunning! The lovely Dan styled my hair in a huge bouffant, I could not believe that he got my super fine hair so high and voluminous. It was no surprised to learn that he used the Glamour Hold Hairspray as it really did lift my whole hair!
It was strange having a full-on professional photoshoot. I am so used to being by myself and using self-timer to take shots in my bedroom that I was so out of my comfort zone at first. However, the whole team from the photographer, hair-dresser, make-up artist, PR girls... everyone made me feel a lot more at ease. It is still not something that I am 100% with but everything is a learning curve and I am so glad my first taste of modelling was with such a lovely group of people.
So yes, like I mentioned, Toni & Guy have made their brand a lot more accessible to such folk like you and me. Stocking a large range of their products in local Boots and Superdrug stores. Go give them a look, they are a lot more affordable than I had imagined! Let me know what you think of the campaign and whether you like my beautiful bouffant - I certainly did! Thanks for everyone who has supported me on this too - It is hugely appreciated!
