Clinique is a brand who's skincare I have loved, yet who's makeup I have somewhat avoided. Today marks my first venture, and obviously what type of product better to start off with, than some lip products...

Recently I have found myself time and time again reaching for lip liners to ensure my lips reach full plumpness. I never just line my lips however, I love to shade the entire lip in to ensure longer wearing time and even brighter colour. The Quickliner For Lips Intense (£14.50) are a twist-up liner that has a super-smooth application. I am used to liners being drying and fairly matte, but these are particularly soft and feel comfortable on the lips. They are really well pigmented and require zero sharpening - YAY! The shade Intense Sassafras is such a naturally beautiful shade to slightly enhance the lips with a slight beige/peach undertone. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Intense Cosmo is a deep berry shade with a hint of brown - right on trend at the moment.

The lipstick that took the beauty world by storm last year was the Pop Lip Colour & Primer (£16). Loved by bloggers and beauty hoarders a like, the two-in-one product with a beautiful range of popping shades seemed to be a hit with everyone - making me so much more excited to try them. Like the liners they are easy to apply, and give a bold smothering of colour to the lips before settling to a velvet finish. Sugar Pop is a girly, neutral colour with a slight pink tinge to it, an everyday wearable colour right at your fingertips. However, Blush Pop packs a little bit more of a punch, a deeper pink with a slight brown undertone - just gorgeous!

For those who like lots of colours in one place, Clinique have released the Pretty Easy Lip Palette (£35) which is home to eight various shades. From reds, to pinks, to purples, the palette has you covered for if you want to change your lip shade up throughout the day. The palette also has empty slots where you can make your very own perfect shade...

I am so pleased, Clinique have exceeded my makeup expectations and I'll sure be delving into more products from the brand. Let me know in the comments if you have been lucky enough to try their well-loved lipsticks or share your favourite Clinique products. I'd love to have some recommendations!
