Beauty | The Beauty Bin - Eyebrows

A couple of weeks ago my buddy Gianni surprised me with this cute little pink bin, we'd been joking on how I need a 'Beauty Bin' for all the products I own and this alone spurred me to create a new series here on Thumbelina Lillie. 'The Beauty Bin' is going to be a new series to showcase the products that weren't entirely my cup of tea, and today, we're talking eyebrows.

For the past few years where I've actually filled in my brows (what did I do before?!) I've forever used a powder based product as that's what I've been comfortable with. The Revlon Brow Fantasy (£6.99) has been the only pencil that I've tried and, well, it's not given me a good first impression. I found that the product required a fair amount of pressure to get some colour payoff which led to the colour being quite thick and harsh which didn't look natural. The gel was okay, the pigmentation of it wasn't too much and it seemed to set the brows in place. But the pencil, not for me.

If you watched my most recent haul video, then you'll have seen that I picked up the new Rimmel Brow This Way (£3.99). The small tube encases a coloured liquid that is said to assist in setting your brows in place whilst giving colour. Although it did set them, the shade colour was so wrong. It is very warm toned which clashed with my hair as I prefer a much ashy-ier cooler tone for my eyebrows. The wand is also on the larger side of things which I found difficult and messy to work with, I would recommend Benefit Gimme Brow (£17.50) instead of this; Although it is more expensive, I feel that the colours are a tad better and the wand is smaller which gives a more precise application.

Overall, no real positive vibes from these products so I'll stick to my normal products for now. I would love to try the Anastasia Brow Wiz but I'm still unsure whether pencils are for me. Let me know if you've tried either of these and whether you're a pencil or powder kinda gal. Make sure to share if you like this series too! Thanks for reading.
