Beauty | Benefit's Porefessional: Agent Zero Shine

Happy New Year and happy new blog post! I hope you all had an amazing time over the festive period, I can't quite believe it's 2014! I'm not one for resolutions usually but this year I want to think positive, grasp every opportunity possible and take risks. A little more personal than the norm. Now, after a week away from here, let's get back to business!

A couple of weeks ago my mouth dropped wide open as I received one of the most exciting emails in my blogging career to date. It was a lovely message from Benefit Cosmetics UK informing me that one of their latest releases was on it's way to my door for me to try out; The Porefessional: Agent Zero Shine*. When I first really got into makeup I fell in love with Benefit, their packaging and the whole shebang drew me in so I was extremely grateful and thrilled to try this out.

In addition to the original Porefessional, their latest powder release helps reduce the look of pores whilst eliminating shine - a 2-in-1 product. It's compact nature makes it extremely travel friendly. The bottom section twists out to reveal a dense, small kabuki-style brush which is perfect for applying the powder to your t-zone. The top lid twists out and can be used to tap the powder into. It really is ideal if you're constantly on-the-go.

Despite not being a huge fan of loose powder, I've really been enjoying using this. When I've used loose powders in the past it has resulted in alot of mess, but the small holes don't let out too much product when you tap the powder out. I apply a light dusting of the product across my forehead and down the centre of my face to mattify my skin, which is does brilliantly. Although it's not a staple in my handbag just yet, I can imagine that when the weather picks up I'll need to carry this around with me to keep any shine at bay. Benefit, you've done it again.

Are you a loose or pressed powder type of person? Will you be trying out this new Benefit product? Let me know in the comments below, thanks for reading!

  26. As a massive fan of the Porefessional, I'm rather intrigued by this new offering from Benefit. I have tiny pores across my cheek area that I always feel a little bit conscious of but I also suffer from dry skin so I'm not entirely sure if it'll be a great product for me, seeing as it's a powder product. I'll keep an open mind though because my t-zone has the tendency to get shiny throughout the day. The dilemma of having combination skin eh?

  27. So far I've heard pretty decent reviews on this product. And you have to give it to Benefit for always having unique packaging! I'm not too picky about pressed or loose powder although loose can be much more difficult to use; it seems like in this case they tried to solve that. Thanks for your review!

  44. Honestly, I don't wear either pressed or loosed power because my skin is just too dry! Aha. I work hard to make my skin as soft and flake free as possible. Powders, whether they're pressed or loosed just emphasize my dryness and make my skin look cakey in my opinion. But for those who need it, I think this is a great product! I just wanted to say I love the packaging. Benefit's packaging is always so cute and their products are always very nice. Great review! :)
